She is not always red —but from June to August, the Earth breathes softly through her. Her name is “Ulan” — meaning red in Mongolian. Shaped like a heart, her lake is known as “the heart of the Earth.” When the sun blazes, salt concentration rises, microbes bloom and red insects awaken — she turns crimson, not in flame, but in pulse. She doesn’t need to burn all year, just as you don’t need to be loud to be real. She reminds us: love is a rhythmic fire.
